General money $aving trips and tricks

Stick to these basics for village budgeting -

Consider grocery shopping:  Check out Fresh St. Market (by Delta Suites), The Whistler Grocery Store (by Westin), Fuji Market (Japanese store with prepared meals by Westin)

Eat a big breakfast and pack a light lunch: Easy cheap brekkies: chilaquiles, breakfast burritos, boxed pancakes, and of course eggs/toast/ sausage and good light lunch: energy bars, protein bars, granola and nuts

Carb load for dinner: you're burning a lot of energy on the slopes: Low ingredient items include pasta + frozen meatballs, boxed mac n cheese, fried rice

Keep snacks in the condo for late night munchies!

Befriend someone with an Epic Pass: they get 20% off food at select Vail owned restaurants!

Look for water fountains—everything will be pricier on the slopes, but hydration is important

Utilize the ski swap sheet and your existing closet:

  • Workout clothes with wicking layers are great base layers

  • A rain jacket can double as a ski jacket with enough layers underneath
